What's the meaning of “Candle” in Candle Cafe®?
Bart Potenza founded Candle Cafe® in a location previously occupied by a landmark health food store and juice bar. The owners of that famous institution had followed a nightly ritual of lighting candles to bless their establishment. Bart decided to honor that tradition in naming his restaurant.
What's the difference between a vegan and a vegetarian?
Vegetarians do not consume meat products, including beef, poultry, pork or seafood. Some vegetarians do consume dairy products such as eggs, milk and cheese. Vegans do not consume any animal-sourced products, including dairy products. All Candle CafeTM frozen meals are vegan, which means they are suited for vegans, vegetarians, and anybody who wants to enjoy delicious gourmet meals.
Are Candle CafeTM frozen vegan meals gluten-free?
None of the items are certified gluten-free and may contain wheat.
Are Candle CafeTM frozen vegan meals dairy-free?
Yes. All of our products are totally dairy free and safe for people with lactose intolerance.
Do Candle CafeTM frozen vegan meals contain genetically engineered ingredients?
Never. They are all-natural, with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Are Candle CafeTM frozen vegan meals certified organic?
All of our frozen vegan meals are certified organic, except for our Macaroni & Vegan Cheese meal.
